Vietnam gold prices rose by VND0.62 million/tael from yesterday close to VND44.17 million a tael on Thursday morning. Gold rose in New York last night but steady in Asia this morning.
SJC Hanoi quoted at VND43.85 million/tael for bid and VND44.17 million/tael for ask, respectively as of 10:02 am, Hanoi time.
SJC in the free market was quoted at VND44.03-44.23 million/tael for bid and ask, respectively.
Sacombank-SBJ gold prices were listed at VND43.90-VND44.20 million/tael for bid and ask, respectively.
Rong Thang Long gold, a product of Bao Tin Minh Chau company was trading at VND42.50 million/tael and VND43.00 million/tael for bid and ask, respectively.
Teccombank gold was list at VND43.95-44.15 for bid and ask, respectively.
Gold Rises In New York But Steady In Asia
In New York trade last night, gold rose to settle near $1,660 an ounce on Euro, equities gains.
Spot gold was up 0.4 % to $1,658.15 an ounce. U.S. gold futures settled up $4.30 an ounce at $1,659.90.
At Kitco floor on Wednesday morning, spot gold was quoted at $1,665.40-1,666.40 for bid and ask, respectively at 10:17 am, Hanoi time.
In New York trade last night, gold rose due to Euro and U.S equities gains and also due to the hope that the International Monetary Fund will raise additional funds of $600 billion to help combat Europe's debt crisis. Discussion for the fund will be participated by 20 officials later today and Friday.

Local Dollar Stable
Vietnam's central bank kept dollar midpoint rate to VND20,828 on Thursday, unchanged since Dec 26,2011.
Many commercial banks changed continuously quotation for dollar exchange rate today, ranged from VND 20,810-20,900 for bid and VND20,830-21,036 for ask.
