Vietnam Sea Transport and Chartering JSC. (VST) made a net profit of VND42.3 billion in Q4/2011, up 69% from a year ago, the firm said in its financial statements posted on the HOSE’s website.
The HOSE-listed company generated net revenue of VND378 billion in the quarter, compared to VND437.4 billion over the same period of last year.
Despite a 14% on year fall in its net revenue, the company attributed its higher profit to lower selling expenses and general and administrative expenses (down 28% and 24% respectively) in the period.
