Vietnam will have its second national highway, that will run through 28 cities and provinces, in 2015, Vietnam news agency reported.
According to a detailed plan approved by the Prime Minister, the 3,183-km length highway known as Ho Chi Minh Road will start from Pac Bo in the northern province and end at Dat Mui in the southernmost province.
It said the construction of the road is now in its second phase, which started in 2000 and will be completed in 2015 with a total investment of more than 27.7 trillion VND (US$1.33 billion).
The news agency quoted the detailed plan, and reported that about 445 km of highway will be constructed at a cost of over 273 trillion VND (US$13.12 billion) during the third phase (2012-2020).
