Vietnam gold prices rose by VND0.44 million/tael from yesterday close to VND45.14 million/tael on Thursday morning, following the world gold prices.
SJC Hanoi was quoted at VND44.92 million/tael for bid and VND45.14 million/tael for ask, respectively as of 9:35 am, Hanoi time.
SJC Ho chi minh was quoted at VND44.92-45.12 million/tael for bid and ask, respectively.
Sacombank-SBJ gold prices were listed at VND44.90-VND45.12million/tael for bid and ask, respectively.
Rong Thang Long gold, a product of Bao Tin Minh Chau company w trading at VND44.10 million/tael and VND44.40 million/tael for bid and ask, respectively.
Techcombank gold was list at VND45.05-45.15 for bid and ask, respectively.
Gold Rises In New York
The world gold closed with little change in New York last night after hitting its three-month high in previous sessions.
Spot gold was down $1.60 to at $1,774.19 an ounce. US gold futures gained 0.3% to $1776.00 an ounce.
At Kitco floor this morning, spot gold was quoted at $1,773.30-1,774.50/an ounce for bid and ask, respectively as of 9:52 am, Hanoi time.
Gold rallied 1% on Wednesday in New York while the global stock market inched down on Euro-zone and China’s weak data.
The yellow metal continued being supported by higher oil prices. Tensions between Iran and the West climbed after U.N. inspectors sent to visit the country's nuclear installations declared their mission a failure.
Local Dollar Stable
Vietnam's central bank kept dollar midpoint rate at VND20,828 on Thursday, unchanged since Dec 26,2011, recording the longest stability period since early 2011.
Some commercial banks changed dollar prices today, ranged from VND20,790-20,815 for bid and VND20,850-29,900 for ask, respectively.
