Total outstanding loans of commercial banks in Hanoi are estimated at VND598.221 trillion in June, up 0.5% on-month and rising 2.1% from late December last year, according to statistics from the municipal Statistics Office.
Of the figure, total short-term loans rose 0.8% on month, 0.7% on year; long-term loans rose 0.2% on month and 4.3% on year.
Meanwhile, total deposits of Hanoi-based banks as of June-end are estimated at VND826.205 trillion, up 1.4% a month earlier and 0.53% from end-2011.
Particularly, saving deposits increased by 0.8% on-month and 9.9% from the end of last year while demand deposits were up 1.9% compared to the previous month and down 1.6% compared to end-2011.
