August 3: UPCoM-Index Rises, Liquidity Stays Low
 
The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 131 unlisted public companies, advanced for the first time in three days trimming the weekly loss but liquidity remained low.

The index added 0.09 point, or 0.24%, to end at 37.17. The market volume totaled 383,000 shares valued at VND3.33 billion, compared with 457,000 shares and VND3.36 billion from a day earlier.

 

Among index members, 12 increased in value, 15 tumbled, seven unmoved, and 97 stocks closed untraded.

 

FBA was the biggest gainer, climbing 9.7% to finish at VND10,200 on a trade of 225,000 shares. This was also the most active on the gauge.

 

BTW was the biggest loser, erasing 9.84% to close at VND11,000 on a trade of 100 units.

 

Foreigners stayed on the sidelines today.
